Description

This premium breakout board series is designed to simplify wiring, signal access, and connector integration during prototyping, testing, and final deployment. Built for professional environments, each board features clearly labeled terminal blocks and 0.1in header footprints for seamless connection to embedded systems, lab instruments, and diagnostic tools.

Each variant in the series is carefully dimensioned to maintain a compact, space-conscious footprint without sacrificing usability, making them ideal for tight enclosures, test fixtures, and field applications.

Terminal block section supports a wide range of wire gauges (28AWG to 16AWG) and features generous spacing for easier access with screwdrivers or probes. The included plated through-holes with 0.1 in (2.54 mm) pitch allow convenient soldering of headers or sockets for logic analysis, debugging, or jumper wiring.

Every board includes multiple mounting hole sizes to accommodate standard standoffs and screw sizes (including M3 and #6 hardware), enabling secure installation in a variety of enclosures and fixture setups.

Specifications

The RJ45 variant breaks out all eight contacts of a standard 8P8C modular jack to both screw terminals and a 0.1 in (2.54 mm) header footprint, providing flexible access for signal interfacing, testing, and prototyping. This form factor is commonly used for serial communication, control signals, sensor networks, or general I/O distribution using low-cost twisted-pair cabling, such as:

  • RS-485 multi-drop serial networks in industrial automation
  • RS-232 serial extensions over RJ-style cables in test equipment
  • Custom UART pinouts for embedded device programming or debug ports
  • Remote relay control lines in building automation and AV systems
  • Panel-to-board signal harnessing using modular patch cables

Application Guidance

BOARD MOUNTING

Use #6 or M3 screws to secure the board as needed. The board includes two sets of mounting holes:

  • 0.149 in (3.785 mm) diameter holes for #6 hardware
  • 0.125 in (3.175 mm) diameter holes for M3 hardware
These accommodate a wide range of standoffs, screws, and mounting brackets for enclosure or fixture integration.

WIRING

For best connection to the terminal block entry, strip wire back 0.157 in (4 mm) to 0.197 in (5 mm).

SIGNAL HEADER

All breakout boards have access to the terminal block connections via 0.1 in (2.54 mm) spaced plated holes. Soldering a header (or socket) can easily facilitate connections to jumper wire or devices like logic analyzers.
